The 8thAir Force at War With the Luftwaffe
featuring Lt. Charles "Norm" Stevens


During the desperate fight for dominance of the skies over Germany and
occupied Europe, the 8th Air Force distinguished itself throughout
American involvement in World War II. From the dark early years
through the final triumph, American fliers proved their mettle. But it
wasn't without a terrible cost: ten percent of all US combat deaths in
WWII were sustained by the American aircrews, who day after day, year
after year, had to repeatedly go up to face a highly skilled and
determined foe. Listen with us, as we hear the first-hand account of
this deadly conflict, and the men and equipment who fought their way
to victory. We are privileged to have Lieutenant Norm Stevens, author
and war hero, who will share his personal experiences with us.

Please join us on Saturday, 15 November. Norm will sell and sign
copies of his books.

The lecture is free to Museum Members.
